It all began in 1903: AEG and Siemens launched TELEFUNKEN, a company that developed into an innovation leader in the world of consumer electronics within just a few years. With groundbreaking inventions, such as the tube radio and the PAL color television system, the TELEFUNKEN brand set standards that had a lasting impact on the media landscape of the 20th century. In the golden 1950s and 1960s, TELEFUNKEN branded products became synonymous with top quality and prosperity. The elegant radios and televisions made their mark in living rooms throughout Germany and beyond.

Time for a change

At the beginning of the new millennium, the company made a strategic move to become a licensed brand. From then on, new products from selected independent and autonomous companies (brand licensees) breathed new life into the TELEFUNKEN brand. In recent years, a wide range of innovative products has been developed under the TELEFUNKEN brand in the fields of consumer electronics, household appliances, lighting technology, and many other product categories. The brand, which once conquered German living rooms as a sound pioneer, has since inspired consumers around the globe with its modern technology and timeless design.

As a symbol for “Made in Germany” throughout the ages, the TELEFUNKEN brand has developed into a global brand and stands for over 120 years of fun providing entertaining and excellent electronics. And because real fun is always sustainable, the TELEFUNKEN branded product range has been and continues to be expanded, for example to include energy-efficient smart TVs, energy-efficient kitchen and household appliances, and e-mobility products, such as e-bikes and e-scooters.
